The Recreation Committee is responsible for providing support, advice and counsel to the Recreation Director who, in turn, reports to the Administrator. Matters considered by this Committee include the identification and prioritization of recreation needs; Community parks and playground usage and improvement; and the coordination/facilitation of group or individual effort towards meeting the Communities on going recreation requirements. The Committee will make recommendations, including budget allotment, on matters that in its view, will assist the Community in the maintenance and improvement of recreation and leisure programs and facilities. This Committee will also consider concerns related to heritage within the Community. The chair of the Committee and/or the Recreation Director will represent Community with any groups interested in utilizing Community recreation, programs and facilities.
